Competitor profiles let you monitor the public performance of other brands on social media. This feature is ideal for benchmarking, finding inspiration from successful strategies, and identifying new opportunities in your industry.

Unlike profiles connected as owned accounts, which give you access to full analytics (such as reach, clicks, or impressions), competitor profiles only display public information. This is the same data anyone can see directly on social media platforms.

Available metrics for competitor profiles

When a profile is connected as a competitor, you'll be able to view the following public metrics:

  • Followers

  • New posts*

  • Posts by type (post format)

  • Basic interactions and their breakdown

  • Interactions by day of the week

  • Interactions by hour

  • Video views (available only for YouTube and TikTok)

  • Engagement Rate (ER) by followers

*For Twitter (X), only original tweets are counted. Retweets and quoted tweets are excluded.

When checking a competitor profile, you won’t see metrics like reach, impressions, clicks, or engagement rates based on those. Additionally, you won’t be able to differentiate between organic and paid performance.

What type of data you'll see per social network

Here’s what you’ll see by platform:

  • Facebook: total data (organic + promoted)

  • Instagram: organic data only

  • TikTok: total data (organic + promoted)

  • X (formerly Twitter): total data (organic + promoted)

  • YouTube: total data (organic + promoted)

Competitor profiles in Welov give you a strategic view of how other brands are performing on social media, based exclusively on public data. It’s the perfect tool to spot industry trends and make data-informed decisions—while respecting each account’s privacy.
