Connecting a social network profile to Welov immediately starts the data collection process. Welov requests information from each social network via their API (Application Programming Interface), which enables communication between different programs. The data is then sent to Welov. In general, data exchange occurs on a daily basis, though this may vary by social network due to the specific policies of each platform.
How often is the data updated?
Welov checks in with the APIs of each social network every day to get the latest activity from the previous day (unless you've enabled the high recurrence loading option in your account). That means if you check your data in Welov today, you'll see the info updated up to yesterday. Some data might take a little longer to show up, though, depending on the API policy of each platform.
LinkedIn: You'll get daily updates, but there might be a delay of up to five days.
Twitter: We update the info daily, and you can find data up to the previous day as of 10h UTC the following day.
Youtube: You'll get daily updates for the main public metrics, but there'll be a two- to four-day delay for the rest.
High recurrence loading option
Welov offers a high recurrence loading option for more frequent data updates.
Facebook fan page: every 30 minutes.
Facebook competitor accounts: every 60 minutes.
Instagram business: every 60 minutes.
This feature is ideal for those who need near real-time data and is available for an additional cost.
Data history on each social network
Connecting a profile to Welov allows you to view past data, depending on the data storage contracted and the limitations of each social network.*
Facebook fan page: For your administered profiles, data is retrieved up to 2 years back. For competitors, the last 600 posts are accessed.
Instagram: For both your own and competitors profiles, data is retrieved up to 2 years back.
Twitter (now X): The data is retrieved from the last 100 tweets or from the first day of the previous month.
YouTube: There is data record since 07/01/2015 for administered profiles; for competitors**, we access can data for the last 6 months.
LinkedIn: Data is retrieved up to 1 year back.
TikTok: Data is retrieved up to 2 years back**.
Facebook Ads: Data is retrieved up to 2 years back.
*If another user has connected an account, we will show the available history.
**Connecting a TikTok or YouTube Competitor account in Welov will give you the total video data. For example, you will not be able to see the data by date range for the KPI Reproductions, but you will see the accumulated data for that video as of today.
⚠️Please note that the number of Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, and Instagram followers, as well as YouTube subscribers and everything related to Instagram stories, will not be available prior to the day of connection to Welov. Data will be collected from that point onwards.
Social network posts over time
A social media post is active for as long as your data is being collected and updated. This depends on the social network and its settings. After this time, the post is no longer updated, so new interactions or changes will not be reflected in the statistics.
Facebook posts have a 7-day lifespan. Only the 25 posts with the most likes each month are kept up to date for 4 months.
Instagram posts are updated for 30 days, both for your own and competitor accounts.
Twitter: data updates for tweets posted on the last 5 days or up to the last 100 tweets
YouTube: YouTube's own profile videos are continuously updated, with no specific time limit. For competitor profiles, the data of the videos published in the last 6 months are updated.
LinkedIn posts are updated for 30 days.
TikTok: the data for the last 20 videos or those published in the last 30 days is updated.
Facebook Ads: 5-day lifespan. In addition, date from all active ads from any date is updated.
Do not hesitate to write to us through the support chat if you want to request the activation of the high recurrence load 😉
